Monthly Online Community Circles
Let’s hang out together alone.
Every last Thursday of the month.
A space to learn and discuss another side of loneliness, and to build emotional and social skills through active listening, dialoguing, somatic practice, and more.
First, we take a breath and arrive, never not with music!
We reflect, discuss, and share questions around a specific topic, highlighted usually in the most recent newsletter
We savor a moment of shared presence, listening, and deeper connection with a fellow participant

We aim to gently dismantle the cultural stigma and shame surrounding loneliness as a universal human experience. Simultaneously, we seek to uncover the profound impact of collective loneliness on public health, relationships, work, politics, and society at large. Through creating a 'third place' for insights, conversations, and the sharing of our unique experiences of loneliness, we invite to delve into the intersection of community and loneliness.

Hi! It’s me, Monika. I’ve spent the past five years helping to build the global community of the House of Beautiful Business, dedicated to changing hearts, minds, and practices towards a life-centered economy. In being in touch with people from around the world, and learning how to create transformative spaces, I felt called to explore “the other” side of community, which is loneliness. You can read more about my why here.

A safe, open space for you to simply be. No need to perform or be the smartest in the room—all we ask is to be present fully, with a curious heart, and a willingness to show up for yourself and others in a way that feels true and right for you.
There are always two parts to these gatherings: first, we’ll focus on an aspect of loneliness, followed by a part of sharing in smaller groups or pairs—through the art of active listening, dialoguing, and embracing differences as a fuller vision of the whole.
“On the far side of the subjective, on this side of the objective, on the narrow ridge where I and Thou meet, there is the realm of the ‘between.’” — Martin Buber, The Way of Response, 1966. -
